Four Corners School of Outdoor Education is a non-profit organization founded in 1984. Based in Monticello, Utah, Four Corners School provides place-based outdoor education on and about the Colorado Plateau (N. Arizona, SW Colorado, NW New Mexico, S. Utah).
Since 1984, FCS has provided a wide range of place-based outdoor education programs for some 82,460 participants, ranging in age from 6 to 90. FCS has provided over 60,600 hours of youth and adult service on public lands, 709,000 hours of student/youth outdoor education, 266,000 hours of adult outdoor education, and 104,800 hours of teacher training in outdoor education. The School has awarded 200 teacher scholarships for our outdoor programs; repaired or rehabilitated hundreds of miles of roads, springs, and trails; and worked to protect over 28 archaeological sites on public lands.
The Four Corners School of Outdoor Education is now embarking on a four-year, $8.5 million campaign to build the Canyon Country Discovery Center (CCDC), the future campus for the School. The CCDC, located in the heart of the Colorado Plateau in Monticello, Utah, will serve as the home of the School’s four programs. We invite you to watch this video to learn more about this exciting project.
